Once there was a fish factory in Kolka, a village on the Baltic Sea. Now prosperity has turned into ruins. It is the end of the buildings and boats but not the trash. The territory is easily reachable and dangerous to the environment and people and attracts even more garbage being brought to this place. A restriction sign is not enough. Reporting to municipality and environment protection services is an important first step, but the issue has not been solved for years. Working together to clean such areas on world clean-up days could help raise awareness and make the coastline clean and safe.
