One of the threats that has been affecting biodiversity in the municipality of Lousã is the Acacia dealbata species, mainly in the Mata do Sobral.
The Portuguese wildlife in Bogueira, is exposed to various types of invasive species. The Acacia plant is one of the most aggressive species when it comes to “invading” the natural habitat.The countryside in Lousã is well maintained thanks to active volunteers.Hard working volunteers like José Silvestre are actively performing to eradicate the harming invasive species.We decided to contribute our part to a clean environment by removing the invasive species from the soil and prevent their aggressive spreading.
