One piece of litter may not seem like a big deal, or a problem worth worrying about, but one piece of litter could mean one dead fish, bird or any other animal. Now think of the approximately 25,000kg of rubbish that gets littered in New Zealand every day, and imagine how many animals we maim, kill or sicken just from our waste. They may be able to live without us, but we can’t live without them. Just one piece of litter is one too many.
