The White Carpathians is a protected mountain range in Slovakia. It is unique not only due to its rock formations and protected butterflies, but also because many old fruit trees were planted here by our ancestors. These are native trees that have been bearing fruit for tens or even hundreds of years. The number of these rare trees is declining every year. People have stopped caring for these trees, respecting them, and even planting trees that do not belong on this land. What should a person living in the White Carpathians do when they decide to plant a new tree in their garden?
