Food waste is a problem often overlooked in households. We interviewed students at Dubnica Gymnázium as to how often they throw away food and what leads them to do so. In addition, we were interested in how they handle food that is approaching expiry. We offer several solutions inspired by the students. Turning food waste into new taste is something they are really excited about.
Why should this issue not be ignored, not just during a pandemic, but any other time? What threats does food waste pose? We took a closer look at this with an expert and documented it in our report.
